Thanksgiving!

We had a great Thanksgiving filled with family and tons of yummy food. We spent it at my parent's with almost all my siblings (we missed you Sally). The kids had lots of fun playing together, going to the park, and doing crafts.

I had fun relaxing and enjoyed family and food. We had some great food for Thanksgiving but we also had carmel corn, chocolate cake, apple muffins, apple fries, and cookies. It was fun to see everybody and to catch up.

Ella had so much fun and was so excited to see her cousins but she just can't hardly handle it though. She pooped her pants almost everyday, sometimes more than once. She gets a little emotional so I was excited to go home so that things went back to normal.

Tanner had a party every night. Normally he will sometimes get up at 4 to eat but while we were at my parents he was waking up two times to eat. We normally would let him cry back to sleep but not when there are almost 20 people all in the same house. Then one night he decided it was time to be awake at about 3:00. He was giggling, talking, and playing for about an hour. He had a great time. He was a little bit unsure about all the people at first but by the end he was loving that he had lots of people to talk to and that would hold him.

Lets just say both Dave and I were glad to come home for sleep sake. We don't do well when we are in the same room as Tanner. But it was a fun Thanksgiving and I am so grateful for family.

Gratitude!

I have really been trying to think of all the things I am grateful for and I've been thinking about it for several weeks now, with Thanksgiving coming up. Then today in church we had some great talks on gratitude so I am going to write some things I'm grateful for. I will just mention a few because this post could get real long and boring.

-I am grateful for the best husband for me. He is perfect for me and our family. He does dishes, changes diapers, gives baths, plays with our kids, works hard at his job, watches our kids, and so much more. He is strong in the gospel and makes me want to be better. He does all of it happily. He is always willing to help in any way and I am so grateful for him.

-I am grateful for a stubborn, sassy, but sweet little girl. She can really try me but it is good for me and my patience. I learn a lot from her. She is a sweet girl, who loves her brother so much. When he gets up in the morning she wants to be right there to greet him for the day. I am soooo grateful she is potty trained.

-I am grateful for a sweet and sensitive little boy. He always has a grin on his face for me when he gets up and I love it. He is a little cuddler and I really like that. I am grateful for my easy going but also determined little boy.

-I am grateful for my beautiful home, food, clothing.

-I am grateful for the health care that I have now and I pray that I get to keep it.

-I am grateful for the gospel and how happy I am because of it. Of course, I am grateful for my Savior and his sacrifice he made for all of us.

-I am also grateful for an awesome family with great siblings, nieces, nephews, parents and in laws.

Raspberry!

We were giving raspberrys on Tanner's face, lets just say he tolerated it but he had the funniest facial expressions. I don't think I quite captured it on camera but still funny. Gotta love those cheeks. Lucky for me, he does like kisses.

Update!

Nothing too exciting has happened around here but I thought I would do a quick update on each of us.

Ella is growing up so fast. She loves gymnastics, she asks almost everyday if she gets to go. Unfortunately it is only once a week and next week is her last week. I don't think another session is starting until after Christmas, she may go through withdrawal. She is also in preschool. Me and a couple friends of mine take turns doing preschool. I only do it once a month and I get 3 days a month without her for 1 1/2. Its nice for me and she really likes it.

Tanner is still just growing like a weed. He has had cold after cold, I don't think his nose ever stops running. He loves his mom and smiles tons for her but for others not so much. He expects people to work for a smile, you have to really talk to him to get anything. He loves Ella, he lights up when she talks to him. He doesn't roll at all. He also loves his fingers. To go to sleep his sucks his middle and index finger.

Me, I feel like having two kids has really made life busier and better. I love having two kids, there is definitely harder days but also more joy. I have been busy with crafts, doing stuff for Christmas, and other random things. I have started couponing and I am really liking it. The other day I got 9 boxes of cereal for $9, they were regularly $4 a box. I felt so proud, don't worry I called Dave immediately. I feel like my calling has been busy lately, especially since there is a new year coming up but I love it.

Dave is busy as always with work and young men's. He really enjoys working with the teachers and puts a lot of work into it. He is busy with work as usual and has an opportunity to apply to be promoted to Supervisor in his department. So hopefully he can show his Director that he is qualified and will work hard. We'll see, we won't know anything for a few months.

Disney on Ice

Disney on Ice was in the Tri-Cities so I decided to take Ella. We went with our good friends, Julie and Lexi. The girls loved it and I thought it was pretty good myself. We saw Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse, Cars, The Little Mermaid, The Lion King, and Tinkerbell. I think Ella enjoyed The Lion King and The Little Mermaid the most. I splurged and got Ella an over priced hat but it was so cute and its memories, right.

Halloween, Finally!

Halloween has been a long wait at our house. I got Ella's costume about a month ago since it was on sale. Since then it has been all Ella talks about. She would tell me everyday and more than once what she was going to be, what her friends were going to be, and what Tanner was going to be. If Tanner was close to talking I think frog would have been his frist word since Ella told him what he was going to be about 50 times a day.
We had a great Halloween. We went to our ward Trunk-or-Treat, we went trick-or-treating at Dave's work, and went trick-or-treating on Halloween with my cousin's wife Hilarie and her kids. Ella had a lot of fun with Brooklyn and Trevor. Tanner tolerated it well.
