Utah Fun!

We went to Utah this past week and definitely played hard. The kids had a lot of fun but now are re-cooperating from all the fun. I am re-cooperating from the fun and food. One of my favorite things to do in Utah is eat, oh there are so many yummy places to eat and not enough meals in the day.

There was a family picture at Dave's parents house that I had never seen before. I took a picture of Dave, I think he is pretty cute.

Ella hadn't been to temple square so it was a must. She loved it. Especially all the water. She wanted to go see all the places that had water.

One day the kids and me went to Provo to see Janet. We had fun feeding the ducks and walking around campus.

While we were in Provo we went to the Cocoa Bean. It is basically a Mormon Starbucks. We had a yummy drink and delicious cupcakes. They were seriously heavenly.

We also went to Wheeler Farm. We let Ella ride the pony, she loved it. She wanted to do it again but it was pretty short ride for $3.

There was a little playhouse at Wheeler Farm. It looks like Dave liked it more than the kids.

They had some cute hats in the little store they had. Tanner actually really liked the hat. He smiled every time we put it on.

We also went to a place that had blow up toys, a jungle, and an arcade. Tanner didn't love the slides.

They had a little place for him to play in and he definitely liked that.

Ella loved the slides, she just kept going. Janet and me also really liked the slides. They had one that gave me a bit of a rush and made my stomach drop.

We played some games as well and won tickets to get prizes. Janet and Ella got a best friends necklace.

One night we got together with the whole family, which was a lot of fun. We had pizza and just hung out. Ella has two other little cousins that are 3 and they had a blast together. They played and ran around together.

We also went to the Dinosaur Museum with some of the cousins. They had a lot of fun together.

We flew standby which is great because we can get there quickly for a lot less money but one of the downsides is that we never know if we are going to get on. We planned on coming home Sunday night but weren't able to come home until Monday.

We had a great time with Dave's family and always love going to Utah. Thanks for letting us come.

Family Pictures

We got family pictures this last weekend. We had a guy in our ward do it and he did a great job. If anyone is interested let me know and I can give you his number.

Finished!

I finished my project in the kitchen. I made a new valence, curtains, painted my table and chairs and bar stools. A lot of work but definitely worth it. I didn't do before and afters for everything but trust me it looks much better.

Made a simple valence but used ribbon to dress it up a bit.

These curtains are my existing ones, I just added some fabric to jazz it up a bit. They weren't my original plan but I am loving them.

These stools were my grandparents, so they have definitely been loved.

On to other projects, I have the redecorating bug. I want to do a tile back-splash in the kitchen and do some really fun stuff in the family room. So stay tuned, I am going to be busy over the summer.

Hair Cut and Glasses

Dave gave Tanner his first hair cut since it was getting a little wispy and uneven . He had to hold him to do it but I think he liked after a bit.

Dave had been wanting this thing that you hook up to your TV and it makes your TV shows or movies 3D. So Ella and Dave have enjoyed it together several times.

6 Years

April 30th Dave and I celebrated our 6 year anniversary. Its kind of crazy when I think about it because it feels like we haven't been married that long, I can remember our first apartment and still going to school. Sometimes I think of myself as a college student still, I am still young right. Well time is going on and to be honest I am glad that we have been married 6 years and not 1 because life and marriage just gets even better as time goes on. Even though it seems we haven't been married 6 years, I also feel like we've been together forever because I can't hardly remember how life was without Dave. Anyways, I'll stop being sentimental now. To celebrate we went to Leavenworth, its here in Washington. Its a little German town, it is so small and sweet. It was perfect. Very low key, which is what I wanted. I wanted to have fun and relax. We browsed the shops, ate yummy food, saw a movie and just enjoyed having to not worry about my kids. Thanks mom. Wenatchee is close by so we went to the Apple Blossom Parade, which was fun and they had tons of people, organizations, and schools that participated. It was funny because some of the marching bands that were in it were at least twice the size of my graduating class. Kind of funny.

I have to give a big thanks to my mom because she watched our kids. I promise I did not leave my child sick but he ended up getting sick. We left Friday morning, so I called Friday night to see how they had been. She said they had been fine but Tanner had been fussy since his afternoon nap. I didn't think much of that because he can be fussy later in the day, especially around dinner time. Well after I called, apparently he threw up his bottle he gets before bed. Then he threw up two more times before midnight. Then he was up bright and early for my mom at 5 am, probably because he was hungry since he had been throwing up. Then the rest of the day he did not let her put him down. I felt bad when we came back to my parent's house late that afternoon to hear that he had been sick for my mom. So I owe my mom a big thanks! We had a great time!

One of the shops sold taffy and I thought the machine was kind of neat.
