Daddy's Girl!

So the past several months Ella has become a major Daddy's girl. Don't get me wrong, Ella and I have a great time together, but its when he is at work. As soon as he gets home or its the weekend, it is all dad and I can't do anything for her. Sometimes it great but sometimes its frustrating.

She is so funny because she gets really jealous. She doesn't like him to hold Tanner, at all. When he does hold Tanner she yells, "Hes Mine". Funny but frustrating when I need a brake. She doesn't like it when he hugs me. Shes okay if he kisses me but she has to have a kiss too.

I can't help her in or out of the car if he is with us. I definitely can't do anything for her at church. I can't hold her, take her to the bathroom, and she definitely does not like it when Dave holds Tanner. I am in the Primary Presidency but he still has to take her to Primary.

For a while she would cry when he had to leave. Funny little girl but I am glad that she loves her dad so much.

A Note from Ella

Thank you Aunt Trina for the Ariel dress, I love it. I put it on right away. Ariel is my favorite princess and I take my Ariel toy to bed every night. I can't believe you got it for $3. I tried to get mom and dad to let me wear it to bed but they said no. But don't worry I put it on first thing in the morning. I love to dance in my dress and watch myself in the reflection of the TV, I think its improved my dancing. I think I should be Ariel for next Halloween and Tanner should be Flounder.

My Sweet Boy is Back!

It has been a rough week with Tanner, he has been getting his two bottom front teeth all week. He does not teeth well. He has had a runny nose, no appetite, waking up at night to just cry, and not feeling well during the day. You know your baby doesn't feel right when he just wants to be held so he can moan on your shoulder. He really is a sweet, happy little boy so it has been a little rough for both of us. But the past couple of days he has started to come back to normal but today he his definitely back. Smiling tons, laughing, eating, and he wants to be put down to play with his toys. Heres to a better and more productive week.

Our New Ride!

We got a new car. Its a 2010 Nissan Pathfinder. We are all pretty excited about it but I think Dave is the most excited. Not because he is the main driver of the car but because he gets to now drive my old car instead of his 1982 Toyota Pickup. We were grateful to have the pickup, my parents gave it to us and so we were able to save money.

After Christmas with the Kemps

Dave's parents flew up to see us after Christmas for a few days. It was a big deal that they flew, we felt very lucky to have them come. If you know Dave's mom then you know that it is a big deal that she flew to come see us. She has not flown in a very long time because she is scared, so we are grateful that they came. We had a lot of fun. We went shopping, ate out, watched movies, relaxed and played with the kids.

Christmas with the Allens

We spent Christmas with my family and we had lots of fun. I took Ella to see Princess and the Frog with my mom and sister. It was really cute and Ella loved it. She especially loves the popcorn and pop we usually get.

We were driving to my Aunt's house, Tanner was starting to get unhappy so Ella held his hand to try and help him feel better.

Christmas Eve we went to my Aunt's house. We eat all different kinds of appetizers, then we do the nativity. Ella was the angel, she was so excited.

After the nativity, we play the thimble game. Then Santa knocks on the door and leaves presents for each of us. Ella loved that part.

Christmas morning, Tanner loved the wrapping paper. I love his jammies, thanks to my friend McKenzie.

Ella was so excited for Christmas. She would ask me what I got her and was always talking about Jesus's birthday. Her big present was a dress up chest with dresses. She loved it, lets just say that it has become her main wardrobe.

We started a new tradition this year. Since we are celebrating Christ's birth we decided to make a cake and sing Happy Birthday. Ella liked it a lot and I think it helped get the point across. She did get to blow out the candles. I got the idea from a Relief Society Activity.

I was also able to go shopping with three of my sisters and my mom. We went to Seattle and shopped until we dropped. It was so much fun. One of my favorite items that I bought was a hat for Tanner. I think he looks adorable.

My Ring is BACK!

So my ring is back. My sister, Nancy, is staying with me and she found it in the fridge. Random, I know, but I am glad that she found it. I have missed it.
