6 Months

Miss Soffie turned 6 months on February 20 and I love seeing her develop into her own little person. We went to the doctor and here are her stats. 97% for her length, 16 lbs 3 oz - 58%, and her head is 52%. We might have a basketball player on our hands. She seems to keep her weight in her cheeks and thighs, her rolls are going to be around for a while.
Some things I've learned about Soffie over the past couple of weeks. She is shy. Whenever someone says "hi" to her she puts her head in my shoulder and hides her face, its adorable. She doesn't seem to like men, she usually cries when they hold her. She does love her dad though. She loves to spit and babble. She is getting really good at sitting up. She LOVES her jumper and wants to jump when shes not in it.
She likes food and doesn't seem to hate anything shes tried yet. Still a good sleeper and she loves her siblings. She is fascinated by them and especially loves her sister. She has really started to love her pacifier. She holds her own bottle, none of my other kids have ever held their bottle. She learned because she had to if she wanted to eat. Since life is busier and we are more on the run, she has just had to learn to hold it if she wants to eat. Its a life saver.

A little visit

I found these on my phone and I forgot that I hadn't posted about Janet's and Steph's visit. Janet and Nick came to WA because Nick had a few job interviews, Janet stayed an extra week which was quite a treat. Steph and Liam came too. So the kids had fun playing together.

We bought a boat

I have had a few requests to see pictures of our boat so I asked Dave to take a few while he had the cover off. Yes, we bought a boat about a month ago. Its a 2004 Centurion. We have been looking for probably 6 months or so for a boat. We found one that we really liked and bought it. Its very exciting but I did not sleep well for the next couple of days. It was in Eugene, OR, which is 5 hours away. So Dave took a day off work and drove down by himself to check it out and buy it. We are really excited for summer to come so we can take it out. Please come visit so we can take you out on the water.

All we need is love

I tried really hard this year to make sure Valentine's Day was special for my kids because last year I was on the couch most of day feeling very nauseous. We started the month off by putting hearts on each kids door. Each night we put a new heart on their door and wrote something we loved about them. I also made a big envelope made out of felt for each kid so that we could write notes to each other, that was a big hit for Ella.

Tanner is in joy school with a few friends and we had a little Valentine party, which he loved. Ella had a party at school and got quite the loot, it felt a little like Halloween.

We stayed in on Valentine's, Dave and I like to go out to celebrate another night. The kids helped me make heart shaped pepperoni pizza for them and I made Fillet Minoan for me and Dave. We also had a special love potion drink that was quite delicious. Each kid got a little present to open as well. Overall I think they felt special.

 

Daddy Daughter Hoe Down!

There is a yearly daddy daughter dance that is put on by a church, I have heard that it is a lot of fun so Dave and Ella gave it a try. It was a hoe down and they had such a good time. They ended up doubling with another dad and daughter in our ward. Ella was beaming ear to ear when they got home. She is already excited about next year. She is into silly faces lately and doesn't want to just smile for the camera.

Stop it Wind!!

This boy has such good smiles, but I would say that right now he is my hardest child. He gets frustrated so easily, he hits others, he yells, hes very sensitive, tempermental, doesn't like change and he can be a challenge. He is also so funny and he makes me laugh everyday. The other day we were walking to the bus stop to get Ella and it was pretty windy. Well Tanner wasn't in the mood for wind. He yelled at it the whole way. Some of the phrases that came out of his mouth:
"Wind, you are not my friend so go away."
"Stop it. You cannot have my pants so stop trying to blow them off."
"Stop pushing me."
"You are not going to blow me away, so stop it wind."
There were many more. I was trying so hard to not laugh because he gets pretty mad when I laugh at him.

All Gums

This girl has been loosing teeth left and right. She lost two teeth within days of each other. One of was her front tooth. She was pretty excited, she asked if the tooth fairy gave more since it was a bigger tooth. Ella was lucky because she did give more.

The first couple of days she had a little bit of a lisp, which was really cute. She even noticed that she was talking a little bit funny. Luckily the lisp has gone away.
